Color, Light and Shadow: Painting the Figure
June 20-24, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
$550.
Using complementary colors to paint people and objects as they "turn" into shadow involves creating a unified color ramework for each painting, based on the color of the direct light source, which determines how we see the ambient (indirect) light and shadow.
Join me for five days of intense fun as we paint white plaster casts in warm and cool light, then progress on to live models in full color setups. I'll also be doing a power-point presentation, examining the "turning plane" in detail.
